Classic Everest Base Camp Trek: The Original Route to the Top of the World

The Classic Everest Base Camp Trek follows the historic route from Jiri, first taken by legendary climbers like Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay before the Lukla airport was built. This extended journey allows for a more gradual acclimatization while offering stunning Himalayan landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, and an authentic Sherpa cultural experience.

Why Choose the Classic Everest Base Camp Trek?

  1. Follow in the Footsteps of Legends – Walk the same path as the first Everest summiteers.
  2. Gradual Acclimatization – Less risk of altitude sickness due to steady altitude gain.
  3. Rich Cultural Experience – Explore remote Sherpa villages, monasteries, and farms in the lower Everest region.
  4. Less Crowded & More Scenic – Unlike the standard Lukla to EBC trek, this route offers peaceful trails with breathtaking scenery.
  5. Challenging Yet Rewarding – A true test of endurance with longer trekking days and more elevation gain.
